Barking Hills Pet Assisted Therapy
Barking Hills Pet Assisted Therapy is currently working to get its not-for-profit status.
Our informational meeting on September 15th was attended by @ 20 people. The certification examination for participation in this program will be held, by appointment only, on December 5th at the Pattenburg VFW. Please contact us for an appointment and for a copy of the examination.
We hope to serve the Hunterdon County area with trained and tested dog/handler teams that will be supervised at each visit. This helps guarantee the facility that appropriate teams will be available to them on a regular basis. It will help the dog/handler teams as well by acting as a liaison between the teams and the facility.
Barking Hills Country Club offers classes for dogs and handlers that are interested in training for Pet Assisted Therapy work with Barking Hills Pet Assisted Therapy, Delta Society, Therapy Dogs Inc. or Therapy Dogs International.
