Lights, Camera Action - Informational Seminar

Have you ever wondered if your dog could be a star?
Find out what it is really like to have a working "show biz" dog.

The Barking Hills Barking Hills Canine All Stars have been seen for nine seasons on Saturday Night Live as well as Conan O'Brien, All My Children, One Life to Live as well as numerous commercials including Home Depot, Claritin, Citizen's Bank, Lowe's, Pedigree, Subway, Volkswagon and Verizon. You may have seen them on the cover of US News and World Report, in numerous calendars or on the Purina Beneful Bag.

This seminar will be taught by trainers that currently handle dogs professionally and know what it takes.

YOU MUST HAVE ATTENDED THIS INFORMATIONAL SEMINAR IN ORDER TO HAVE YOUR DOG SEEN AT THE AUDITION

Requirements

None for the information seminar but you can bring a picture of your dog (without costume) for us to keep
For the workshop and audition, all dogs must be kept on lead and must wear a martingale, limited slip or greyhound style collar
Please read the Barking Hills Rules and Regulations before you arrive with your dog.

Rules and Regulations

NO DOGS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES WITHOUT A COPY OF CURRENT IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
The same handler must handle the dog for the whole set of classes
Dogs must have current identification (ID tag) on their collars

Since we close our classes when full, there are no refunds once you have paid for class.

Holiday and Weather Closings

Please call (908) 996-9911 two hours before the start of your class to check for weather related closings. If classes have been cancelled, the machine will have a message stating so, otherwise, classes are on schedule.
Barking Hills is closed Independence Day weekend (July 4-6), Labor Day week: (September 1-6), Columbus Day (Oct 12), Thanksgiving (November 26-29), Winter Holidays (December 24-January 3), Martin Luther King Day (Jan 18) and Memorial Day week (May 21st -26th - Join us at Camp Barking Hills!)

You dog does NOT have to take this seminar in order to be auditioned.
This is a working seminar to teach you how to work with your dog to make them more "employable" and give them skills that the agency and the clients like dogs to have.
You may take this without taking the informational seminar, however,

YOU MUST HAVE ATTENDED THE INFORMATIONAL SEMINAR IN ORDER TO HAVE YOUR DOG SEEN AT THE AUDITION.

Please understand that no guarantees are made as to your dog's success after taking this workshop.

This is a working audition for the dog.

YOU MUST HAVE ATTENDED THE INFORMATIONAL SEMINAR IN ORDER TO HAVE YOUR DOG SEEN AT THE AUDITION.

This audition is to choose the dogs that will be submitted to the agency for future work.

Please think carefully before scheduling an audition.
Be sure you understand what having a working dog entails in terms of your commitment - once your dog is submitted for a job you must follow through.
The audition is tightly scheduled. Please don't be late or you will miss your scheduled appointment and your dog will not be seen that day.
