Junior Showmanship

Juniors (under 18) who wish to compete in the Junior Showmanship classes.  Emphasis on handling skills, dog structure, breed specifics and ring procedures.  Learn how to show your dog to his/her best!  You must bring proof of your dog's inoculations for our records.  Instructor: Denise Garber  Please call after 4pm the day of class to check for cancellations - the machine will say if class has been cancelled.

Requirements
  • You must bring a copy of the dog's inoculation records for us to keep.

Rules and Regulations

  • NO DOGS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES WITHOUT A COPY OF CURRENT IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
  • The same handler must handle the dog for the whole set of classes
  • Dogs must have current identification (ID tag) on their collars
  • Read the complete Barking Hills Rules and Regulations
  • Since we close our classes when full, there are no refunds once you have paid for class.

Holiday and Weather Closings

  • Please call (908) 996-9911 two hours before the start of your class to check for weather related closings. If classes have been cancelled, the machine will have a message stating so, otherwise, classes are on schedule.
  • Barking Hills is closed Independence Day weekend (July 4-6), Labor Day week: (September 1-6), Columbus Day (Oct 12), Thanksgiving (November 26-29), Winter Holidays (December 24-January 3), Martin Luther King Day (Jan 18) and Memorial Day week (May 21st -26th - Join us at Camp Barking Hills!)

Cost: $60.00 for a book of 10 tickets
(or pay $7 at the door)
