Intermediate Obedience for the Family Pet - Level One

For dogs who have completed Basic Obedience Level II and have instructor permission to advance.  This class helps build attention, introduces move advanced obedience skills, begins the transition to off-lead walking, and improves the handler's verbal control over the dog's behavior.  Dog/handler teams will build knowledge, as well as their relationship, and leave class with valuable skills that will last a lifetime.

Requirements
  • None, but we recommend Basic Levels One and Two.

Rules and Regulations

  • NO DOGS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES WITHOUT A COPY OF CURRENT IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
  • The same handler must handle the dog for the whole set of classes
  • Dogs must have current identification (ID tag) on their collars
  • Read the complete Barking Hills Rules and Regulations
  • Since we close our classes when full, there are no refunds once you have paid for class.

Holiday and Weather Closings

  • Please call (908) 996-9911 two hours before the start of your class to check for weather related closings. If classes have been cancelled, the machine will have a message stating so, otherwise, classes are on schedule.
  • Barking Hills is closed Independence Day weekend (July 4-6), Labor Day week: (September 1-6), Columbus Day (Oct 12), Thanksgiving (November 26-29), Winter Holidays (December 24-January 3), Martin Luther King Day (Jan 18) and Memorial Day week (May 21st -26th - Join us at Camp Barking Hills!)
