Canine Good Citizen Exam

All breeds and mixed breeds can earn the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen certificate.  Call for an appointment - we will not test any unscheduled dog.  Look leave-site.gif (117 bytes)here for the 10 exercises required. Please remember to bring a comb or a brush and a copy of your dog's rabies certification.

Requirements
  • You must register for the exam. No unscheduled dogs will be tested.

Rules and Regulations

  • NO DOGS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES WITHOUT A COPY OF CURRENT IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
  • The same handler must handle the dog for the whole set of classes
  • Dogs must have current identification (ID tag) on their collars
  • Read the complete Barking Hills Rules and Regulations
  • Since we close our classes when full, there are no refunds once you have paid for class.

Holiday and Weather Closings

  • Please call (908) 996-9911 two hours before the start of your class to check for weather related closings. If classes have been cancelled, the machine will have a message stating so, otherwise, classes are on schedule.
  • Barking Hills is closed Independence Day weekend (July 4-6), Labor Day week: (September 1-6), Thanksgiving (November 27-30), Winter Holidays (December 24-January 1) and Memorial Day week (May 21st -26th - Join us at Camp Barking Hills!)
